Navy Bolting Applications:Superbolt products are utilized on many Navy bolting applications, many of which are classified. The following Navy documents apply to the use of the Multi-Jackbolt Tensioner. Each is available in PDF format, and posted on this site with permission. • NSTM075 -2.9.4 - Naval Sea Systems Command Technical Manual 075 is the basic fastener manual used throughout the Navy. It is this document that will have the most complete list of currently approved products. MJBT discussion is found on pages 75-2-55&56, illustration on 75-2-58. Installation instructions on 075-4.7.1 (page 75-4-18 thru 21). • NSTM 231 letter and unclassified document covering steam turbines and the use of Multi-Jackbolt Tensioners. Contact us to request the document. • GYD010 - Submarine Fastener Manual - only one paragraph applies to the MJT. It is 2-19 found on page 45 of 172, states that the parts are approved for use subject to temperature limitations, and to see NSTM075 for guidance. • Newest revision of Navy Standard Drawing 810-1385895 (standard foundation drawing) will have MJTs (Multi Jackbolt Tensioners) incorporated as a acceptable method of bolting. • ACP649 is a Advanced Change Proposal that applies to the General Specifications for Overhaul. •NOTE: A&I's 3410 (688 class) and TO144 (726 class) has been signed out.
