Thrust Collars
Problem: On renewed installations some roll necks break. The heavy bearings of the work rolls are tightened with hydraulic nuts and cannot discharge the shocks. Cost intensive repairs, long down times of production and poor workpieces are the consequences.
Solution: On one stand, Superbolt® Thrust Collars are installed first. The Thrust Collars create higher preloads than the previous method and therefore even the heaviest peakloads can be absorbed. The roll necks are lasting and the production runs smoothly.
