Split Gear
Falk Split Gear on cement kiln.
Problem: On every rotation of this split gear vibration occurred because the hex nuts could not sufficiently hold this application together. Despite attempts to regularly, sometimes daily, tighten these nuts with a slug wrench, the vibration continued and resulted in expensive damage to the brick lining.
 Picture Left: These ST-125s were installed in 45 minutes!
Solution: Once installed, Superbolt® Torquenuts® eliminated a 3/8" gap in the teeth, and consistently held this application together through every rotation, thus eliminating the vibration that was occurring and the expensive repairs that followed. |
